If you are not allready a naturist, but you really would like to try, here is some good advice on getting started:

Are you accustomed to being naked?

If you are not confident with your own nudity, it might be a good idea to start naturism at home. Here is some advice:

• Sleep naked - If you are used to sleep in a pyjamas or in your underwear, it might be a fantastic experience to go to bed without any clothes on.

• Shower naked - oh, you do that allready? Fine - then don't get dressed right out of the shower. Walk around the house, find the clothes you are going to wear, brush your hair before even thinking of getting dressed.

• Sunbathe naked. If you have a undisturbed garden or balcony, then shed the last few pieces of clothes nex/imagest you enjoy the sun.

• Swim naked. Skin is the best swimsuit. And why wear clothes in the water? Find a secluded beach or swimming hole, but be sure it is safe, and don't go alone - it is dangerous and skinny-dipping is always more fun in groups.

Are you ready to meet others?

When you are ready to experience social nudity, there is a lot of opportunities.

During the summertime it is easy and perhaps most natural to be naked. Everywhere on the Danish beaches it is legal to bathe and sunbathe in your skin as long as you don't offend others. But especially if you are new to naturism, it is not funny to be the only naked person on a beach full of "textiles". Check strandguide.dk to find a beach where there is a chanche there will be other naturists. Or visit the Danske Naturisters open beach forum to make sure there will be other naturists on your favourite beach that particular day.

You may get in touch with one of the Danish naturist campingsites. They will be glad to introduce you (and prefarably also your family) to naturism. Some even has special offers for new naturists - see: Naturistforeningen Fyn/Bøjden under "Naturist på prøve..."

In the winter you can visit a swimming facility that arranges naturist swims. Danske Naturister makes a lot of arrangements all over the country. Check the homepage on naturister.dk

During winter you can also go abroad. Of course there is the Caribic and even more remote destinations like Australia and New Zeeland. But also the southern Spain and especially the Canaries offers you the joy of bare living all the year round. Find travel-agencies on the link-page. In Germany saunas are traditionally clothes-free and without separate sections for men and women. Many German indoors aqua-parks has clothes free evenings where all facilities are to be used without swimsuits. Find more information about Germany on the page "Bare Europe" .

Are you between 15 and 25 years old?

Especially for youth between 15 and 25 there is every summer a chance of trying naturism in a camp with other young people.
